Jeff
Zimmerman, owner of Zdwellings, has been involved in
the building and construction industry for over 40
years. Jeff initially started out working at a
building supply company where he familiarized
himself with all types of building products. He
began his on hands experience with a remodeling
company as an expediter and installer of windows and
doors, then worked as a carpenter in a remodeling
company specializing in high end residential and
commercial projects.
Making the plunge, Jeff went into business for
himself in 1982 forming Zimmerman construction in
Pennsylvania where he specialized in interior
drywall and plaster. He became a member of
Carpenter's Local 1073 and worked on numerous
commercial projects during this period. Jeff also
started managing and running work for a large
residential and commercial contractor, at times
managing as many as 50 plus men; his duties included
managing production of many large residential
projects on the east coast for builders like Toll
Brother's and The David Cutler Group. That led him
to become involved in a remodel for Calvary Chapel
in Philadelphia, a 25,000 square foot church and an
elementary school consisting of twenty-five
classrooms. He began specializing in commercial
projects and custom interior plastering. For a few
years he was a partner at Artisan plaster company in
Philadelphia that specialized in reproduction of
homes from the 1700's.
In 2002 Jeff relocated to Ventura Ca. and started
Zdwellings in 2005. He has built numerous
residential remodels and completed many commercial
tenant improvements in and around Ventura and Santa
Barbara counties. He looks forward to continuing
growing his business and portfolio of custom homes
and commercial projects. |
